Business Central The fastest growing
Cloud ERP Solution!
Cloud
Dynamics 365 Business Central recently broke the mark of 15,000 customers with 1,000 new customers per month and a doubling of growth. Microsoft also recorded 200% more users per implementation. This makes BC arguably the fastest growing cloud ERP solution in the world! - what does this mean for the near future?
Growth at the Speed of Light for new SaaS Customers…
Dynamics 365 Business Central is growing at an impressive rate: the SaaS platform now boasts over 15,000 customer organizations and a year-on-year growth of 200 percent in users. These latest figures come from Microsoft’s General Manager Mike Morton, who recently appeared at the DIRECTIONS North America for Dynamics NAV and Business Central partners. It was only in November last year that Morton announced that Business Central had passed the major milestone of 10,000 customers.
This means growth of 5,000 customer organizations in just five months - and up to 1,000 net new customers per month! The growth rate has picked up noticeably. By way of comparison: between October 2019 and November 2020, the monthly growth rate was 500 new customers.
…and also in the Number of Users per Implementation
The high growth in new customers is even surpassed by the growth rate of users, and according to Morton, there are several reasons for this. One of them: existing customers often add more users over time, an indication that the customers already using Business Central are also satisfied.
Morton reports that Microsoft is now also seeing larger deals in Business Central SaaS: the average number of users per implementation is increasing significantly. Microsoft is now able to attract customers with up to 500 users or more. At the same time, however, there are still new customers who continue to use only five to ten workstations. Just like in the beginning, when the solution was still young.
Business Central as the Backbone of your Digital Transformation
All of these companies rely on Business Central SaaS: on its basis, they make countless small, operational decisions on a daily basis and also important strategic decisions. Many of them already use the solution as the backbone of their digital transformation processes. Because in the long term, this process can only succeed hand in hand with a modern ERP system.
The Onboarding Process: simpler, faster and cheaper in the Future?
Microsoft is by no means resting on its laurels, however. The software group still has a clear goal for the near future: the company has set itself the goal of making Business Central not only the fastest growing, but also the “world’s best ERP solution for small and medium-sized enterprises”. One of the focal points for the development department is to streamline the implementation - Microsoft refers to this as the “onboarding process”. This should become simpler, faster and more cost-effective.
The improved onboarding process combined with more and more reselling partners and more and more apps available means that further rapid growth can be expected in the near future.
And what about Support for BC On-Premises?
Mike Morton explained to his partners that while the major new developments and updates are focused on Business Central in the cloud, Microsoft will also continue to support the on-premises version of Business Central and Dynamics NAV. He emphasized that they supported their products with conviction and that whether you are running an on-premises solution or working with the cloud, Microsoft had your back.
