Dynamics 365 Business Central: Using the
Search Function

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can find all pages, cards or views using the light bulb icon 💡 in the top right-hand corner of the window. It is often sufficient to enter only a part of the term, as a drop-down menu opens directly upon entry.

Search Function in Business Central

The search function in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central can be opened via the light bulb symbol. Alternatively, and much faster, you can use the key combination ALT + Q.

The search results are displayed in a list from which you can navigate directly to the relevant page. The navigation path to the relevant functional area can be seen on the right-hand side.

It is also possible to search for several sub-terms. The following example searches for the report “Debitor - Fällige Posten”. The following entry is sufficient for this.

It does not matter in which order you enter the terms in the search.

If you are on a page and open the search bar, you can also search for functions for the current page.
