Licenses for Business Central: what Range of Functions do you need?
As far as the functional scope of Business Central is concerned, you have two full user licenses to choose from: Essentials and Premium. You must choose one of the two variants - a combination of Essentials and Premium licenses is not possible.
There is also the Team Members license, which is a Limited User license with restricted authorizations. For some companies, a device license may also be suitable, which applies to a specific device and is not tied to a specific person.
As the less extensive access rights are completely sufficient for some departments, many companies rely on a mixture of full users and limited users.
Business Central Cloud (SaaS) - Annual or Monthly Subscription
Business Central Cloud is based on the cloud model “Software as a Service” (SaaS). Business Central is hosted in Microsoft’s data centers. You take out a subscription in which you regularly pay the costs for licenses, hosting and basic updates.
You have the option of choosing between an annual and a monthly subscription. There is a price difference depending on the term.
Which Subscription is the right one?
If the number of your users does not usually change, the annual subscription is most likely the more sensible and more cost-effective option for you. However, if you need more flexibility, the monthly subscription could be a better option. We will be happy to help you find the right subscription for you.
