Microsoft reported FY23 Q4 earnings per share of $2.69 on revenue of $56.2 billion (up 8 percent), beating analysts’ estimates. Revenue for the full year was $211.9 billion (up 7 percent) with earnings of $9.68 per share. Operating income for the full year was $88.5 billion - an increase of 6 percent.

“We delivered a solid close to the fiscal year driven by Microsoft Cloud quarterly revenue of $30.3 billion, up 21% (up 23% in constant currency) year-over-year,” said Amy Hood, executive vice president and CFO of Microsoft. The main categories of Microsoft Cloud include Azure, Microsoft 365, LinkedIn and Dynamics 365.

Azure and other Cloud Services: Growth and increase in Revenue

The quarterly revenue of Azure and other cloud services increased by 26%. The “Intelligent Cloud” segment grew by 15% overall and generated $24 billion.

Higher Revenue also for Dynamics Products and Services

Dynamics products and cloud services revenue rose by 19 percent in FY23 Q4, while Dynamics 365 revenue increased by 26 percent. In the previous quarter, Dynamics revenue grew by 17 percent, compared to 19 percent a year earlier.
