Effective October 6, 2026, the annual Enhancement Plan (maintenance) fees for on-premises products will increase by 1%. In addition, Microsoft will increase the list prices for Business Central On-Premises and Dynamics NAV by approximately 10% as of October 1. However, there will also be a price harmonization, which will also affect on-premises prices for the euro zone.
Attention On-Premises Customers: These Three Changes Take Effect in October
Starting October 1, 2026, customers of Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premises and Dynamics NAV will see three significant price adjustments. Business Central SaaS (cloud model) is not affected by these changes.
1. 1% Increase in the Enhancement Plan Fee
The annual maintenance fee will increase by one percentage point for all on-premises products (excluding SQL Runtime) effective October 6. While the fee was 20% of the list price prior to the effective date, it will be 21% starting October 6. The new price applies as of your next renewal date that falls on or after October 6.
2. Price Increase of about 10% for Business Central On-Premises and Dynamics NAV
The list prices for Business Central On-Premises and Dynamics NAV subscriptions will increase by about 10% effective October 1.
3. Price Harmonization for On-premises Licenses offsets the Price Increase
In addition to the two price increases, Microsoft will adjust the local multipliers starting in October. These multipliers are used to convert U.S. dollar prices into local currencies (such as euros).
The adjustment of the local multipliers affects the prices for Business Central On-Premises and Dynamics NAV, while CSP purchases and the prices for the Enhancement Plan are not affected.
Since the local multipliers for Business Central On-Premises and Dynamics NAV are being adjusted downward in the euro zone this time from 0.94 to 0.87, this roughly offsets the price increase for on-premises subscriptions. Nevertheless, the increase in on-premises prices remains symbolic.

The Price Increases are due to Microsoft’s Growing Operational Costs
Starting in October, on-premises customers of Business Central and Dynamics NAV will face a significant price increase of around 10%. While this increase will be largely offset by price harmonization in the euro zone, it once again underscores Microsoft’s cloud-first strategy.
When you consider that it now involves a great deal of effort for Microsoft to maintain both on-premises and cloud solutions, this decision becomes more understandable. New features are also much easier to implement in the cloud. With on-premises solutions, many implementations are more customized and therefore automatically more complex.
