The Cloud pays off in the Long-term - Recommendations for Business Central and Dynamics NAV Customers

With its pricing, Microsoft aims to make the cloud more attractive to its customers. The company will most likely continue this strategy in the future.

If you want to secure price advantages, we recommend that you opt for cloud solutions. Switching from on-premises to the cloud also makes sense and will pay off in the long-term.

In addition, the cloud offers the following advantages over on-premises solutions:

  1. Scalability and flexibility
Cloud solutions enable companies to flexibly adapt resources to their actual needs. For example, user licenses, storage space or computing power can be adjusted according to growth or seasonal fluctuations. This works without high investments in hardware or infrastructure.

  2. Fast access to innovations
In the cloud, you regularly benefit from the latest features, updates, and security enhancements. Microsoft continuously releases new features for Business Central in the cloud, keeping your business up to date.

  3. High security and availability
Microsoft invests heavily in the security and availability of its cloud infrastructure. Your data is optimally protected by modern security mechanisms, automatic backups, and a global network of data centers - often better than if you use local installations.

Future Price Changes

We will continue to announce any price changes for Business Central and Power BI that Microsoft plans to implement in the future in this article as soon as we learn about them.
