Price Increase for Business Central SaaS pushed back until November

November 2025 will see the first official price increase for Business Central (SaaS) in more than five years. According to Microsoft, the price adjustments in the euro zone in 2023 were intended to harmonize prices globally.

Both new and existing subscriptions that are renewed on or after November 1 will be affected by this year’s change.

Note: the SaaS price adjustment was originally planned for October 1, but has now been pushed back by one month to give Dynamics partners more time to communicate the changes to their customers. The price increase for Business Central On-Premises and Dynamics NAV will still take effect on October 1, 2025, and will not be postponed.

Business Central: Various Enhancements over the Past few Years

Microsoft has added value to Business Central in recent years. In addition, regular updates continue to improve the system’s performance.

Customers now benefit from key product enhancements, including:

• Real-time AI-powered financial analysis
• AI-powered account reconciliation
• Deeper and more adaptable financial and manufacturing analytics
• Better interoperability with Microsoft Power Platform
• A sustainability module
• Master data management
• Stronger, deeper localizations

New Prices and More Storage

In addition to the many product enhancements, the updated prices also come with more storage per user. This is Microsoft’s response to the wishes of many customers.

• Essentials: from 2GB → 3GB
• Premium: from 3GB → 5GB
• Device: from 1GB → 1.5GB

The following (provisional) prices and storage allocation apply from November 1 per user or per device per month:

The price for Team Members licenses remains unchanged, as these do not include storage space and do not benefit as much from the enhanced features and functionality as Essentials and Premium licenses or users.

Subscriptions purchased or renewed before November 1

If you purchase a new subscription before November 1, 2025, you will receive it at the old price. This also means that you will receive the previous lower storage for the term of this subscription. If your existing subscription is renewed at the old price before November 1, it will also only receive the old storage for the term duration.

Recommendations

• If necessary, purchase a subscription before the deadline to retain the old terms and conditions

  If you would like to take advantage of the old terms and conditions, you can purchase a new subscription before November 1, 2025, or renew your existing subscription before the deadline.

• Plan Strategically and for the Long-term

  If you opt for an annual or triennial subscription, you will benefit from price protection for this period and can carry out stable budget planning.

• Consider switching from On-Premises to the Cloud, if necessary

  Prices for Business Central On-Premises and Dynamics NAV will increase by 10% for purchase licenses and by 10% to 14% for subscriptions as of October 1, 2025. If you have been working with the on-premises solution up to now, it is worth considering migrating to the cloud. This will enable you to save costs and benefit from high security standards and a wide range of functions.
