In addition to the clearly organized email inbox 📪 and the integrated calendar 🗓️, Microsoft Outlook offers other useful functions that make your day-to-day work easier - and a few features that provide variety. 😀

Microsoft Outlook has already been in use for a Quarter of a Century

…and yet many companies continue to rely on the email management solution in their day-to-day work. Outlook was launched at the end of 1996/beginning of 1997 as part of Microsoft Office 97 and quickly became the worldwide favorite of its kind. At that time, Outlook was still called “MS Mail”.

One year later, Microsoft then presented Outlook 97 - a completely revised version. With Office 2007, Outlook was part of Office for Windows for the first time.

For some years now, users have been able to use a limited version of Outlook for free either via a web browser using the outlook.com domain or via the mobile app on their smartphone.

Email Management and personal Calendar in one Application

Microsoft Outlook is primarily an email service. With the help of the simple folder structure, you can sort your emails so that you can find important information straight away.

The second main function of the product: the integrated and clearly arranged calendar.

The Outlook Calender
The Outlook calendar is clearly structured.

This means you can send, receive and manage emails on a daily basis with Outlook. And with the integrated Outlook calendar, you can keep track of all your appointments and events. The two individual functions also go hand in hand. For example, if you are in your mailbox, you will receive timely reminders for a Teams meeting that is coming up soon - provided this has been set in the settings.
