Microsoft Teams makes Modern Work possible - even if your team works together at different locations and in different disciplines and possibly even in different time zones and languages.

Teams is part of the Microsoft 365 cloud applications. The solution offers (small) companies many helpful functions for teamwork in a single app: meetings, chats and collaboration are therefore possible from any location.

Microsoft Teams supports you in particular with these topics relating to remote work:

• Chat/Instant Messaging: uncomplicated short arrangements via messenger with individuals and groups

• Phone calls with or without video: personal arrangements are just a click away and are also possible across country borders.

• Meetings/virtual meetings: you can also hold meetings in larger groups at a distance without any problems.

• Webinars: seminars that would otherwise involve high traveling costs and a lot of additional time can be held online. Participants have the opportunity to ask questions live.

• Groupings in teams and channels: structured dialog on specific topics and issues is possible in a closed group:

  • Team = a group of team members (sometimes also the entire company), which is often named after the group of people. A team usually contains several channels.

  • Channel = a group that deals with a specific (technical) topic. The members of the team can discuss this topic on a smaller scale. This means that only those people are involved for whom the topic is really relevant.

    

• Chronological activity feed: for every activity that affects a user, he or she receives a notification, for example about reactions to messages in the chat or missed calls. This allows you to keep a permanent overview of everything that happens throughout the day.

• Integration of apps: you can integrate other applications, such as Microsoft Forms (for short surveys) or Waldo (desk booking tool for hybrid work). You can easily download the apps you want to add via AppSource and attach them.

  

• Project work: project groups can also work together easily via Teams. So there is no more document ping-pong for example. All you have to do is share the document in the right channel and the team can work on it together - even directly in Microsoft Teams.
